Mastermind's third album named Tragic symphony from 1994. Well, this album is in a same vein with the predecesor, no big improvements here, maybe is a little shorter only 6 pieces with a total of 48 minutes. The music has the same characteristics as on Volume two - the previous one, the same ELP-ish keyboard driven prog but also here and there with some guitars added. The voice is on some pieces as usual and something new on this album is that exist as guest a bass player named Phil Antolino. So what to expect if you want to listen to this band and specialy this album: ELP influences all over the music of Mastermind, but not a copy/paste band of ELP and some symphonic elements combined with jazzy interplays, not many but enough to catch the ears of the listner. So the best pieces are the last 3 pieces that makes the story of Tragic symphony: Sea of tears, Nothing left to say and Into the void. So another good album of Mastermind, but nothing special either, almost the same prog formula that ELP were doing 35 years earlier, but as I said before not a bad album. Similar bands ELP, Cairo and Monolith and maybe others.
