Laurie Ann Haus - a composer and singer known for her work with bands and projects Autumn Tears, Rain Fell Within, Ephemeral Sun and many others, comes up with yet another musical outfit under the name of Todesbonden and unleashes the debut mini-album 'Stormbringer'. Whatever grim and evil associations the title may bring to mind, the music captured within the 18 minutes is far away from that description. 'Stormbringer' offers three tracks and intro representing various musical styles, mixing them in one unit and trying to find its own niche. At the base of this mini-album, lays a genre widely known as doom metal which manifests itself in heavy, slow and slightly distorted riffing. But this is just a basis, much more can be heard - medieval rhythms, celtic atmosphere, keyboard passages, even some classical arrangements and obviously heavenly voice of Laurie on the top of it all. Todesbonden has its own unique spirit and certainly creates something interesting. They are still searching, 'Stormbringer' is much more than a good start, the band will keep evolving through time.
