With this second (and, as it seems, last) album, the countryland folk tunes continue. I realize it now that this (and the other as well) has not a single percussion beat, not even a tambourine or clap. That's why I say these are quiet folk ballads. Once again, they do a Bert Jansch cover. It's "Soho". That may tell some of which folk this group plays. The female singer as a beautiful voice, windy and soft. It reminds me a bit Marian Segal (of Jade). The contrabass, the mandolin, the harp, the tin whistle, a soft piano... well, what more do you want? Intrumental songs, traditional songs, nice acoustic guitar playing. The male vocalist sings very well, also. It's closer to one of Steeleye Span vocalists (don't know which one...). This album is rare. Seventies probably had much of this kind of music, but maybe now it sounds better. The highlight of this album is the wonderful "The Frozen Out Gardeners". I don't know if this album is less good than their first. It's easy: listen it. Review by "Altair82" (Rate Your Music).
