Blue Mountain Eagle's lone album is beginning to aquire the reputation that it deserves. When I began getting into obscure 60's psych about 6-7 years ago this album could be found relatively cheaply (around 15-20$) but today it usually goes for about twice that amount. It's not horribly rare but it's not something you're going to find at your local half priced books either. It's a fine album. West Coast rock with some back to the country influence and a kind of southern charm is the description this record evokes. It's characterized by some excellent guitar playing, strong melodic songwriting and a hazy, end of the 60's sensibility. The whole album is stong without the filler that submarines so many similar albums. Review by "Purple_Daze" (Rate Your Music).
