Review And So On: For Circa's third new album, the band, led by former Yes members Billy Sherwood and Tony Kaye, haven't changed their sound from earlier albums despite changing their guitarist and drummer. Johnny Bruhns and Ronnie Ciago replace Jimi Haun and Jay Schellen, respectively. Circa:'s music remains dense and tightly packed progressive rock with Sherwood's excellent bass work and Kaye's Hammond organ highlighting the tracks. As on previous albums there are a couple of lengthy tracks balanced with shorter compositions that bridge the gap between pop and prog. Sherwood's trademark production style is firmly in place on And So On. Vocals are layered with effects, the bass is our front and there is plenty of opportunities for all of the musicians to have their moment in the sun. Bruhns will remind one of other gentlemen who have played guitar for Sherwood and Kaye's old band, namely Steve Howe and Trevor Rabin. Bruhns has a Yes pedigree himself as he previously was the guitarist for another former Yes keyboard player, Patrick Moraz. Both Bruhns and Ciago seem to have meshed quickly and easily with Kaye and Sherwood. With Sherwood and Kaye their will always be a nod to their history with Yes that will be in the music of Circa: but as they go on, the overt Yes musical references has become less and less as the band continues to forge an identity of their own. If you've liked previous efforts by Circa: you won't be dissapointed with And So On. Review by "nitsnats" (Rate Your Music).

Review Overflow:
There were some leftovers after the making of the first two Circa: CDs, so Billy Sherwood and Co. made this collection available through iTunes. Fans of the bands' other music will want to jump all over this; in a World Trade-ish manner it might actually be a little better. Checking in at 37:36, it is a shorter, more easily digested LP-length effort, and there is a dash more diversity in the songs - as an example, "Shifting Sands" and "Fate And Destiny" are more basic compositions that ease up a bit on the "prog" accelerator, which is actually refreshing to these ears. As with Sherwood's other productions, this music is very richly layered with tons of subtle sounds happening everywhere, especially in terms of vocal layering. Sherwood's abilities as a bassist are once again on full display (check out "Life Goes On" for a great example), as are the chameleon-like skills of guitarist Jimmy Haun. Keyboardist Emeritus Tony Kaye once again colors the music with his inimitable panache, although maybe he isn't quite as noticeable as he was on Circa:HQ. Review by "Reginod" (Rate Your Music).
