I was initially unimpressed by The Escape, and Amaryllis was the album that won me over. This was one album that I needed time to appreciate, and I still find it one of their best. Dramatic vocals, synths and a bit of guitar will be found here, hinting at the band's subsequent lean towards more conventional goth rock.
