*. Dark Radio .*

Album: Oakwind (2012)
Genre: Prog Rock (Crossover/Art Rock)  /  Portugal

Dark Radio is a self-made band that has been seeking the right frequencies for their sound. The first harmonic progressions emerged in 2010 when two good friends, Flávio Silva and Diogo Ferreira, both multi-instrumentalists, transcribed into music something that truly identifies them: a melancholic state of mind, related to worldly expectations. In 2011, with the arrival of bassist Ricardo Drumond, the project gained the consistency needed to venture into the autonomous production of their first album, "Oakwind". The addition of guitarist Hélder Silva in 2012 completed the classic quartet line up, and amplified a sound that is ready to go on the road. The two words that make up the band name perfectly define the music and the sound contrast present in its art. The word “Radio” is associated with the mainstream, the music is clearly tonal, melodic, and harmonically designed to be accessible, however, the melancholy of the shadowy word “Dark” is constantly present in our music and in our personalities.(http://darkradiostation.com).
