Sunrunner has been described as a very diverse old school metal/ progressive rock band that dabbles slightly into the worlds of jazz, world/ethnic and small amounts of classical music. Some songs can be very psychedelic while some can be bombastic and heavy. The band is not afraid of playing acoustic instruments and writing music that is nott always dark. Although there are dark and heavy songs, a balance of positive energy keeps the scales somewhat even. There are many guests involved who bring to the table such instruments as wooden and concert flutes, violin, viola and cello, a Russian domra, Greek bouzouki, keys and synths. Some tunes keep a simple structure of guitar, bass, drums and vocals.
