Album: Le voyageur immobile (1976)
Genre: Prog Rock (Symphonic/Psych./Folk/Pop)  /  France

The story with this band is that they were the backing group for chanteur Christophe during his brief flirtation with prog (essentially: the album Samouraï). As you might guess, this is fairly lightweight progressive pop; not terribly thrilling but far from bad. If this album has a fault it’s that it shows its hand too soon; opening with its best track, “Jimmy.” This album opener contrasts moody passages with cosmic synthesizers with more up-front parts with dramatic guitar work accented by driving piano accompaniment. The rest of the album has its moments, but nothing on that level. I’d say this one’s more for vinyl fanatics out for its gorgeous cover art, suitable for framing. The keyboardist and drummer from this album recorded three more albums as a duo, under the name Space Art.
