A slightly psychedelic, slightly progressive, moderately heavy, very stratuspheric three-piece vintage hard rock band from Örebro. Formed at the dawn of 2013, Stratus consists of three musicians with a slightly tripped-out agenda to cast yet another early 70's haze over the contemporary heavy rock paradigm. The understanding of 'heavy' is of course lifted directly from the sphere of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Cream, Captain Beyond and the likes. Throw in a hint of the progressive scent of Jethro Tull, a whiff of Hendrixy psychedelia, and top it off with some Beatlish melodies for good measure, and you'll pretty much get a picture of the sound. Apart from the fact that a picture is visual and not aural. So it can't be heard. By definition. So scrap that. Take a listen for yourselves instead, and dig into the stratuspheric groove.
