*. And The Traveler .*

Album: The Road, The Reason (2013)(2Cd's)
Genre: Prog Rock (Crossover/Exp./Jazz/Hard Rock)  /  USA

And The Traveler: Experimental Post Progressive rock. Also can be interpreted as up-tempo progressive rock with jazz and classical undertones. And The Traveler is a group of modern day bards, trying to relay stories through their music and striving for excellence in both their story telling and their musicianship. They use jazzy and progressive melody lines and harmonies and seamlessly move from massive, full sections to clean intimate parts. Each section capturing a moment or emotion, and appealing to a wide range of music listeners – from the general music listener to the hardcore music fan. And The Traveler started in 2009 when Max Johl (Lead Vocals and Guitar) and Josh Goldberg (Chapman Stick and Backup Vocals) began jamming after moving in together.  In the summer of 2010 the band began preproduction on there first full length album "He Who Set Forth" a multi-genre, connected, and balanced record chronicling the journey of a young man setting out on his own into the unknown world the first time. Durning recording the band faced many set backs and loss/replacement of members. It seemed that Josh and Max's dreams of launching the Travelers story would fall short. After much searching found Donald Perdomo (Drums and Backup Vocals) who joined the band January 2011. Now with a solid line up, the band decided to abandon "He Who Set Forth" remembering the key moments from the record and using it as a foundation to write the Travelers next chapter.  In June 2012, after two months of a successful fundraising campaign, countless hours of writing, and months of planning,  And the Traveler isolated themselves in a church for two weeks with a small team to record there debut album. "The Road. The Reason." a double disc epic, will be released in early spring and is the culmination of over 3 years of work. The band is excited to showcase the new record bringing there dynamic and intense sound to the tri-state area, east coast and beyond. (http://andthetraveler.com)
