*. Dante Fox .*

Album: Lost Man's Ground (2012)
Genre: Hard Rock (Melodic Rock/AOR)  /  UK

Def Leppard are known for taking their time if it comes to recording a new studio album, but Dante Fox are ‘rapidly’ becoming strong competitors. It took Tim Manford and Sue Willetts seven years to come up with their third album “Under The Seven Skies” (2007) and we had to wait another five years for this brand-new “Lost Man’s Ground”. Five years may seem a long period for nothing more than eight new songs, but as long as the quality is there, you won’t hear me complain. And quality is indeed written all over this new album, which has just been released independently. Tim and Sue have come up with their best songs so far and listening to the end result, you can almost feel the pleasure they must have had recording the new stuff. Both sound quite mature and they got help from great musicians such as Eric Ragno on keys and rising star Alessandro Del Vecchio on harmony/backing vocals. Only 8 songs, like I said, but among them are no fillers and each of them is of a reasonable length. So, congratulations for coming up with this great album, featuring awesome cover artwork from the well-known Carl-André Beckston (Monowasp). Don’t let us wait another five years now, OK?
