*. Tornaod .*

Album: Orin (2005)
Genre: Prog Folk (Celtic Rock/Prog Rock)  /  France

Rising stars of Breton Rock (or Progressive Breton, to be more accurate)Tornaod have joined forces with Little Blue Men records to create a striking and innovative CD. The new release features jigs, reels, and Breton tunes and songs so loved by the traditionalists, but also displays a heavy rhythm section and original songs that seamlessly blend the traditional vibe with prog-rock arrangements. Check out "Gwenva," a modern Celtic rock epic, and "The Two of Cups," co-written by Tornaod mastermind Tomaz Boucherifi-Kadiou and Beth Patterson (sung as a duet). These guys are dynamic passionate performers, full of infectious energy...and they're very cute, which doesn't hurt, either. Guest artists include E.J. Jones (Clandestine, The Willow Band)and Betsy Braud (Jazz Nurse). Whether you're more trad or more rad, Tornaod serves up a disc to whet every musical appetite. Tornaod have already enjoyed success in the United States, and have played at festivals such as 'Festival Internationel' in Lafayette, Louisiane and at 'Potomac Celtic Fest' in Washingten D.C. These appearances have already helped their previous CD achieve high chart positions on numerous internet music sites (vitamic , amazon.fr). The group also had the pleasure to meet and share stages with Battlefield band, Andy Stewert, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. (www.cduniverse.com).
