Autumn Whispers is a poetic rock band, about to release their debutalbum “Cry of Dereliction Vol. I” through their own label Autumn Whispers Music. The album, which has the release date on February 14th 2012, is the first part of an album series with the same name. This album is the band’s first attempt in the record industry in “lean” musical times! With some of the songs written back in 2002 this long period of anticipation and patience is finally coming to an end. The music contains elements from the 70s music scene, progressive rock, alternative and acoustic rock. Though, if we were to identify the Autumn Whispers music, we would prefer a descriptive sentence like “Poetic rock with progressive and classical elements based on enigmatic poetry”. The musicians have a wide range of musical backgrounds: From classical, byzantine and improvisational music, classic, pop and progressive, they offer a solid performance on the album. They have collaborated with known bands and artists worldwide. The album contains ten songs or better eight songs plus two instrumental pieces! “The Awakening/Streaming Sunbeams” is an instrumental piece whose main theme is the relationship between the music itself and the sun! We would rather say that the music and the sun share some of the same views when it comes to the matter of communication. “Julia” is strongly dedicated to man who sacrificed his life for a better world. “The Lily” in less than two minutes of music manages to express our strong feelings for William Blake’s vision and poetry! “The Garden of Love”, also based upon the poetry of William Blake, is a musical translation of the views of the poem. “Out of The Nest” reflects the world of the birds in the world of the humans! “Candlelight” on the other hand praises the spiritual power of the flame to a universe that extends beyond our imagination. “Cry of Dereliction Pt. 1” praises the strength of the many against the greed of the few, defends the right of the many to determine the fate of their own lives. “A Rose” is a song about an unfulfilled love. “Undying Love” is the second instrumental piece of the album written and dedicated to love in all its aspects! And finally “The Dreamer”, a song with strong feeling of nostalgy, dedicated to all those innovators around the world who dared, dare and will always dare to dream for a better future!
